Privacy Policy for ravenware
Last updated: 26 February 2026
Hi there! We (the folks at ravenware) believe that mobile games should be about having fun, not collecting your data. This policy explains how we handle information in our games on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
1. The "Too Long; Didn’t Read" Version
- We don’t ask for your name, email, or phone number.
- We don't create user accounts.
- Your game progress stays on your device.
- We show ads to keep our games free, and our ad partners (like Google AdMob) may use a device ID to show you relevant ads.
2. What Data We (Don't) Collect
Game Progress:
Everything you do in the game—your high scores, unlocked levels, and settings—is stored locally on your
phone. We don't have a "master list" of players on our servers. If you delete the game, that data
usually goes away with it.
Support & Feedback:
If you email us for help, we’ll see your email address and whatever info you send us. We only use this
to help you fix the problem, and then we move on.
3. Advertising & Analytics
To keep our games free, we show ads using Google AdMob. To make sure you don't see the same ad 100 times, or to show ads that might actually interest you, AdMob collects:
- Your device’s Advertising ID (a random string of numbers).
- Your general location (like your city or country).
- Basic device info (like what kind of phone you have).
You can always opt-out of "Personalized Ads" in your phone’s settings (look for "Privacy" or "Advertising").
4. International Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and beyond)
Whether you are in the UK, the US, Europe, or anywhere else, we respect your privacy.
- UK/EEA Users: Under GDPR, our "legal basis" for showing ads is your consent. You can manage this consent through the popup that appears when you first launch the game.
- California Users: Under CCPA, you have the right to opt-out of the "sale" of your info (which, in the ad world, includes sharing device IDs for ads). You can do this via your device settings.
As a solo developer traveling between the UK, US, and HK, I aim to follow the highest privacy standards regardless of where I'm sitting while I code.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our games are meant for everyone, but we don't knowingly collect any info from kids under 13. If you’re a parent and think we’ve accidentally received info from your child, just shoot us an email.
